Who makes this
thingstodohochiminhcity.com is part of the Uncompromised Travel network of city decision guides. It is written as a decision engine, not a blog: every page answers one question a traveler is actually asking and ends in a verdict — WORTH IT, DEPENDS or SKIP — with its working shown.
How facts are checked
Each page lists the sources its facts were checked against in a Sources box at the foot of the page, and states the date of that check under the headline ("Facts checked …"). We prefer primary sources — the venue's own site, Vietnamese government and city notices, the airport and metro operators, the MICHELIN Guide — and reputable news where no primary source exists. A claim we could not confirm is either attributed ("operators list…") or cut; it is never stated as fact. Prices are given in Vietnamese đồng with a US-dollar equivalent at 26,000₫ to the dollar.
Verdicts — WORTH IT, DEPENDS, SKIP — are this site's editorial opinion, reasoned on the page from the facts above it. They are not paid for and are not a rating.
Two things this site never publishes. The times places open and close: they change too often for a printed copy to stay right, so every venue links to Google Maps, which is current. And platform ratings, rankings or review counts presented as current: they move weekly, and we cannot re-check them on every build.
Corrections
Found a price that moved, a rule that changed or a place that closed? Write to richard@uncompromised.travel. A confirmed correction is fixed on the page and moves its "Facts checked" date.
How the site makes money
Some outbound booking links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the platform pays this site a commission and your price does not change. Every affiliate button names the site it goes to, and affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" in the page code. The programs in use: GetYourGuide, Klook, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Airalo (eSIMs), GetTransfer (airport transfers), Kiwi.com (flights) and SafetyWing (travel insurance). No operator pays for placement or a verdict.
The site runs basic analytics (Google Analytics 4) to see which pages actually help and which links get used. No ads, no sponsored posts, no selling of reader data.
